Bio of Riaan and Machiel Strydom
Riaan and Machiel Strydom are two brothers with deep roots in the building industry, having started working alongside their father right after school. Their father was in the building industry from a young age until he passed away, imparting a legacy of craftsmanship and dedication to his sons.
In 2016, Riaan made a significant career shift, choosing to join his wife, Lynette, a Chartered Accountant, in her training company. Together, they traveled across South Africa and neighbouring countries in their caravan, blending work with adventure. While Lynette delivered training sessions to their clients, Riaan conducted client visits in the areas they travelled to.
After several years on the road, Riaan and Lynette decided to settle in Cape Town in 2022. This marked Riaan’s return to his roots in the building industry, leading to the establishment of Blu-Tec Aluminium. Blu-Tec specialises in the manufacture and installation of custom-made aluminum windows, doors, balustrades, and more.
In 2024, Machiel joined his brother in Cape Town. Together, they are leveraging their extensive experience and skills honed over many years in the industry. The Strydom brothers’ dedication and expertise are the driving forces behind Blu-Tec Aluminium, making it a trusted name in the region for quality aluminum products and installations.
